Go off-campus. Sorry, but the college has those sites blocked for a reason, probably because they feel the sites pose a risk to their computer system. In that case, you need to assume the risk with YOUR OWN equipment, not the college's. And in any event, since it's the college's equipment, it's also their rules and you need to abide by them.
It sounds like your college's computer people are really on their game, so if I were you, I wouldn't count on any proxy sites working. Also, consider this: if the college has a computer/Internet usage policy, and you signed it or agreed to it when you enrolled, you can get yourself into big trouble by trying to use proxies to circumvent the policy. That's your risk to take, but think of the consequences.
Even aside from the trouble you could get into, your best bet is to go off-campus to visit those sites. Get yourself into a situation where it's YOUR rules, not the college's, and you'll be good to go. Good luck and have fun.

If you do find a way of bypassing the filter be prepared to be kicked out of college. There are undoubtedly monitoring and/or auditing systems in place that will be able to tell the ICT staff where and who accessed the sites you want to get to.

You can't.
They are running a program most likely at the application server that will block sites for content. The program basically crawls the the site and finds if there any non appropriate content on the site. They can also just pick sites to block and I am myspace is high on the list to block.

your ultimate determination is to obtain a key card from a passing secure practices shelter, by potential of using one in all your human beings' female wiles, get right of entry to the air ducting equipment, rappel all the way down to the server (taking care to no longer holiday the rigidity pad equipment on the floor), deploy a virulent disease on the server then get out previously absolutely everyone notices. or in simple terms provide up attempting to get right of entry to facebook at school and get some artwork performed. Or purchase a cellular telephone which could get right of entry to the internet, like the LG Viewty (which I incredibly have) that has a link to facebook already on it!

Proxy sites would probably be filtered out. You could try https tunneling, but for details you'd have to google it. I've never made it work.

hang on a sec.
ok, here is a website link to a list of proxys. there are a lot of them and i wasn't really sure which ones you have tried. but, incase you can't get on to that site, let me know and i will give you all of the sites in an email or something. I'm not sure people would appriciate a super long list of sites.
or you could just get onto a different computer out side of the univercity and email them to your self. ether way is fine but let me know if you need me to email them to you.
