Popping the SIM in the Treo should work assuming the Treo is unlocked or from the same carrier. If you want to do any email or web browsing on the Treo you will need to add a data plan.

I actually did the same switch. Although my sim card from my Motorola worked fine in my Treo my service provider sent me a new sim card as well.

but it should have a sim card and not a cdma phone
