Ha ha! Firstly, because it's illegal in your country. If it wasn't illegal then you couldn't be the largest *illegal* drug consumer!
I'm not (just) being facetious :) The point is, it seems (to me) you are mixing up "illegal" with "wrong". I'm not saying drugs are good or bad, but just giving you my observation. Illegal isn't always wrong, and changing your state of mind isn't necessarily bad, is it? What if humans *need* to do this, and it's just that American culture gives no other way for humans to do this, than drugs?
Perhaps drugs help open the mind, perhaps they just close it. But what is your mind?

Because the gov't knows that the average drug dealer is black or hispanic and refuses to let them make a profitable living that harms others. When the cigarettes and beer families are making fortunes daily by the seconds.

Because people in the United States don't realzie how good they have it. Tell those users to spend three days in Iraq or Sudan, then see if they are using when they come back.
