I told them my grandfather died who had been dead for 40 years and took off for Mexico!
I'd had him 'die' several other times too! Yeah ! ! !

Work can be very stressful at times. The most lame excuse I have used was calling my workplace and reporting sick or having a doctor's appointment.

none actually, I dont call in unless I am actually sick. I know someone who called in to work because his parents were taking their boat out for the last time of the summer but he didnt give an excuse, he told the truth. It was pretty much the lamest reason I ever heard of for calling in
