I heard that going over a bump in the road could cause this, either that or rain water has got inside the electronics, my car had the same problem but with the indicator lights. I left it in the garage to dry and it worked after that.

means your brake fluid level is right at the minimum mark. so when you turn or accelarate or brake, the fluid swishes around in the master cylinder under the hood, which makes it dip under the minimum mark and sets off the brake light. it comes from 2 things. 1. its time for brake pad/shoes. the more brake pad you have worn off by braking, the more fluid the car had to use to push the remaining pad out further to do its job. when you have new pads/shoes put on, the piston on each wheel is forced back
out and the fluid goes back into the master cylinder. choice 2. you may have a leak in the system, which still requires having the brake system checked.
hope this helps ya

first off pull over and check to see you have enough brake fuild.
if you dont then put more in and have the cars brakes checked.
if your fuild is fine then still have this looked at take it to some place that does this for free. you may need a new sensor only.
you might need brake repairs too . if you do need brake repairs and its going to cost more then 150 for this its worth while to really shop around . i had an estimate from canadain tire to fix my brakes 2200 dollars insane . i intended to fix them myself but one thing and another on top of 20 below weather any way i got them all fixed new parts everthing can.tire said and paid 795.
see shoping around is a good idea

You are low on brake fluid and it keeps going over and under the sensor. Fill the reservoir and after a few days check it to see if it has gone down. If it has you have a leak and REALLY need to find it.

You probably need to replace the brake light switch. Usually not a very expensive job.

It could be that your emergency break is not all the way down or it may be time for new breaks all together. You can always go to an auto part store such as Auto Zone to get it checked free of charge.

Likely you have a short in the fuses or the taillight. Not too expensive to have fixed.Take care of it before you get a ticket.
