It's an eventually possibility, but I think it is much more likely for Lois Lane to be the next editor. Currently Bruce Wayne owns the paper and Perry White is the editor. I think it is pretty likely they will do some story where Perry White dies or has a heart attack and retires. Lois Lane has constantly been shown to be the top reporter (not always disappearing when there is a story around like Clark Kent), she is friends with Bruce Wayne, and alternate worlds like Red Son have hinted at her being editor. Jimmy Olsen has shown himself to be a jerk whenever he gets a little bit of fame, and has even treated Clark Kent poorly after Olsen broke a few stories. This combined with the fact that he never figured out Superman, makes him a pretty poor candidate. I think only in the far future, after Louis Lane has died, and the Daily Planet is falling apart, will they make Olsen editor.
