hi, i have a 2001 pt cruiser, that i got in 2005...i love the car to death, but i feel its time for me to purchase something newer....i was thinking about a car, truck, or something similar to a pt in cost and size...like um the hhr-chevy, scion xb-toyota, edge-ford, or the calibur-chevy?...um what would be a comparable car/truck for me that is around the cost of a pt? (roughly between um 13-16,000)

Check out the Honda Fit. It's right in that price range. It gets 37mpg on the highway, handles like a go-kart, has tons of interior room.. as far as small practical cars like the ones you listed up there.. it's the hands down best.

I have put a link below to a Car and Driver comparison where they compared many of the cars you listed. The Fit was rated best far and away.

"The Fit is sold in more than 70 countries and is known in Europe as the Jazz. It debuts at C/D in typical Honda show-off fashion, winning by 25 points — a cakewalk."

Yes, the bolt pattern. Your Cruiser has the bolt pattern of 5-100, as does the Corolla. You are good to go!

You should probably shop around, and make sure to buy something that is more functional and less flash.

Not that there is anything wrong with cool looking cars, but they are transportation first and foremost.
