You don't say what cities you moved between -- it would be easier to understand your problem if we knew if it was a big city to small city move or what. In fact, my brother moved from Pittsburgh to New York City after college and he missed PA!

I'm guessing you're high school age, right? When I was 15 my family moved from Boston, where I had friends and lots of freedom (could ride the subway anywhere I wanted) to a suburb in the boonies outside of Pittsburgh, PA. I have to admit I felt like you do now -- like a fish out of water, couldn't make friends, missed what I had. But, you know what? By the time I was 18 I started college and realized that even if I had stayed in Boston, a lot of my friends would have moved away or gone off to other schools anyway. In fact, I went back to visit Boston about 7 years after I moved and discovered that the people I knew who stayed there and who kept hanging out together seemed to be stuck in a time warp, like they hadn't changed or grown at all since we were 15.

Even though it's tough at first, I think it really helps you grow and become your own person any time you have to change your friends and social circle and even the city you live in. It gives you a chance to develop new talents and even remake your personality because you don't carry the baggage of the "old you" that your former friends knew.

I do not blame you,I would not want to live in PA either.
but if you are stuck there, change your attitude and find something good about PA. I know it will be difficult.
if your boy friend broke up with you, that is really a good thing, because , why would you want to be in a relationship with a guy that does not realize that you are the most exciting girl in PA . after all you are a New Yorka.
good luck

Do you have anything holding you down in pa ? I would move back and forget the boyfriend. Sometimes it's good to have a fresh start. Good luck to you.

Move back to NY - 3 years is more than enough time to settle in, if you are going to - If not, move back.

Uhhh... here's an idea! Move back. If you're still not over it, the fact that you haven't thought about that idea yet, is... weird.
