Its not illegal but you could get asked to leave the car park by the owner.
Its also not illegal to do 150mph in a private car park, but again, the owner might get a little annoyed.

I don't think you want the extra space for a trailer,as Michael B suggests.Rather think it's more to do with you not wanting your car pinged by other people parking close and opening there doors and hitting your car.But although taking 2 spaces isn't illegal it is rude.

It's not illegal to take two spaces in a private car park. It is stingy.

No but it's very ignorant and selfish. I wouldn't be shocked to see if an angry driver couldn't find a space due to you taking up 2 spaces cause you can't park probably, leaving a scratch on your car.

Unfortunately no, but if someone does it at a business, the business can have the vehicle removed. It is private property, so the owner of the property makes the rules.
If the park is a pay parking, then you better believe they will have them towed. That idiot is costing them business and money. Bye-bye parking dummy!

Why do you all jump to conclusions? I assume the questioer has a trailer. Most car park attendants would turn a blind eye as long as the towing vehicle has paid. The trailer does not qualify as a car.

Is it illegal to take up 2 seats on a bus if you are fat ?
No, but people will get angry and tell you to move if there are no free spaces and you're taking up two.

No! It is not illegal! But if you do it over night you might need to go to the nearest tire store in the morning. Good Luck Chump!

It is not illegal but you may find that they will bill you for a second place there or someone who can't quite fit will ding your sides opening a door after squeezing in next to you.
