No offence taken....
Regardless of race, your ability to adapt to the heat and/or cold has to do with the climate of where you live. If you live in hotter climates, your blood is thinner...and you will be more subject to getting cold easier. If you grew up in a cold climate, your blood is thicker, and you are more immune to the cold. I have moved from a winter climate to a tropical island...and I'm in the process of thinning my blood. I'm sure that within a couple of years, when I go back to Canada in the winter, I will not be able to stand the cold like I used tol...

Actually, if there is any logic to the idea that skin color has an effect on how cold or warm you get, I'd say the darker the skin, the more your skin absorbs heat. That's the way it is with any other objects. Our white metal lawn chairs get filled up before the dark green ones because the dark green ones get blazing hot quicker.
But I don't think that is a significant factor. There are 3 factors that come to mind, but only one has anything to do with how cold someone feels.
1. My brother is clinically obese. He seldom wears a jacket. He is naturally insulated.
2. I see many guys go with out jackets. They seem to think it isn't "macho" to put on a jacket.
3. Vain women buy beautiful outfits & don't want to cover them up.
I'm only this way about shoes. I HATE shoes. I wear sandles just about anywhere. I'd rather my feet get cold than feel all bound & trapped in regular shoes. (until if gets cold AND wet)

thats actually a VERY good question, i don't take offense too it at all, there are plenty of times that people couldn't believe i didn't have a coat on outside, i do like the cold much better then the heat, but of course this isn't true for all caucasions, Caucasion people developed in Northern Europe, basically a very cold climate with not much sun, so as a result our hair grows vertically down to keep us warm, our skin, hair and eyes developed a lighter pigmentation (because of lack of sun or sun strength) and our noses were developed different to breathe the cold air in easily,

We do but if you think about where most Caucasians are from ie: Europe and most Northern Countries. As such, one could argue that they may have a higher tolerance for the cold. Conversely, you find people with darker skin, originally from mid equatorial regions having a higher tolerance for heat. Just a thought, but you are right about one thing, I can go in shorts and a t-shirt in weather that others would find too cold.

Not racist at all. Good question. I grew up in the hills of P.A. Pretty cold in the winter, Then went to boot camp at great Mistakes( near chitown) in the winter, the to M.E., then to p-cola fl, almost died fromthe heat, next to Greenland, iceland, alaska, W.A. , and deployed to Norway, northern england, Germany, finally back to FL. No I do not get cold inless it goes below about 5 * F or so. Conditioning....... But I tell you this, I die most of the year here in Fl because of the heat. If it goes above 50* F as 11 months out of the year it's like hell.

It depends where you're from and what the previous weather is like. It's in the 40s in Minnesota and we're walking around in T-shirts. This is just after a cold snap where we had high temps below 0. People adapt to the cold and think this is really warm. I think it just depends on the weather you're used to.

Nope, you didn't know this. White people love the cold. We don't even use hot water for our daily shower. Hell, I wash my clothes in cold water. I thought other races knew this to be a fact about White Folk. Ever noticed that we only shop in the frozen food section at the Grocery?

Are you serious? Ofcourse they get cold. Two wrongs don't make a right, dont lower yourself to the people who make negative comments about your race.

Yes, all people get cold. Some people--regardless of ethnicity--are just too stupid to realize they need a coat.
