from an iranian girl who really needs your help ! please!?

Question

i am a 17 yearold student in iran . i am addicted to this site since the summer. you know i like or maybe its better to say that i love medicine. so i have to get goodmarks in university entering exam so i should study and not waste time here. i am not a bad student actually all of my marks this term were A but you know how? i just study 1 hour or the most time i spend studying could be 3 hours.also there are some exams in iran which we take and the result they gave us shows that you get what mark in all the country(iran)i usually become 300 or 200 in two milloins of my age students. but for being accepted in a medical university especiallt to study in TEHRAN university i have to become 100 or 150 so you see i have to study more. sth which annoys me is that i dont have enough motivation.you know i like iran so much because it is my country but let me be honest today after coming back from school i watched an american movie it was really nice i see how much fun they have but me not!

i see the life they have . thanks god my life is nice too.but you know it differs. ok in iran students have to study hard to go to university they have to work hard they have to brave enough. you know life is just sth like difficult here.you know i just study because first i like to live in an different way and in other place which i like and the second reason is that i like medicine chemistry .but when i say to my mother that let me go to england this year to go to university there she tells me i am too young to be in a foreign country she tells me you will be just a foreigner there atleast you will look like this for them. but let me tell you that it is not really important if in england or anyplace the people accept me or not.i dont need anyone. i will be just a person like others in that spot of this huge world. Not sure what your question is, but good luck with your studies. The US has a lot of great medical schools, and all accept foreign students. Try applying to some.

Please don't confuse the American movie with the daily lives of American teens. Many are studying and holding down a job at the same time. If you are expecting a career in medicine, your life will require much motivation and studying . It will, of course, be worth it one day. But for now, study but allow yourself a break every now and then or you will be too stressed out.

Believe me our teens study hard too. Dont think all of America is like it is in the movies. Most of us work hard at school or work and then go home to our families. Our lives are not like the movies. Study hard and make money so you can come to our country sometime for a visit and you will see.

To be honest, if you don't have the motivation to study now, you probably won't have the motivation that it takes to make it through medical school. It is hard. It is long. It is expensive and it is not for the unmotivated. Maybe you should look at being a medical technician or something that doesn't involve medical school.

Who says Iran is Britain's enemy? Oh yeah George Bush pulled our strings again and told us so! He is just as much a threat to our nation as anyone else and his lies are the reason our soldiers are gettng shot at in Iraq. I don't believe a single word that comes out of his mouth or trust his political judgement for a single second.
