Our Spiritual connection will be in the sub-atomic level, the connection can't be seen. The atoms divide all the time without us knowing and that is because of the Intelligence that we can't see. This Intelligence is always working towards pro-survival. The plants die and become "compost" a fertilizer that can be used to grow another plant. The intention of the unseen Intelligence who designed this world is pro-survival. The death of a plant does not mean it is bad. It just is the way nature is set up.
A very important fact is also the fact that we Co-create our life.
That's why we can make things better or worse, we can duplicate nature and act in a pro-survival way or act in a contra-survival way...like the destructive side that you are pointing out.
We should always be aware of what's going on in that sub-atomic level, where the Intelligence come from. In prayer or meditaion, depending on what you do to plug-in to that force, you
become aware of the creative force, the love that's behind all of creation, only when our thoughts are of love, then can we be inspired to do actions that align to that Intelligence's intention, of love....then this world will be a better place..and we will co-create happiness, infinite hapiness!

There are some things that we as a species must understand. To advance in our evolution, we must use that which we have around us constructively. The animals used to find cures for the destructive diseases have common organs of humans, yet these animals are not in danger of extinction. As for the pollution of our environment, it is the errors of man himself who after realizing the toxic nature of the chemicals or materials used, make corrections to stop such environmental poisoning. Only the greed of corporations continue the uncorrected behavior. There has always been and still is warfare in nature. You cannot stop such behavior as nature itself allows such actions. It is one step to provide the continuation of a species. At your most optimum chance, place yourself far away from the world that you know and commune with nature out in the natural world. Then open your senses and you will see what you have read here. Then you will understand.

The most catastrophical events to happen to the Earth were brought on by comets and meteors. These event brought on ice ages, the extinction of species, shifting of the poles and possibly the formation of life on this planet.
While it is clear to suggest people have done harm to the planet, it is the absolute height of arrogance to suggest that the whole of human existence compares with the havoc nature has brought to the Earth.
And if we are to accept the story of Eden as fact, the story of Cain and Abel demonstrates the inherent violent nature of humans from the earliest times recorded in history.
The oldest known written story is Gilgamesh, and it is one of violence and the search for redemption.
Your ethical problem is presented on faulty ground and is as old as human existence.

I call on you to renounce everything that has ever been tested on animals, or could possibly pollute the environment.

I suggest you go away and actually think on the nature of science. Any form of thinking would be a good start actually.

It's not the science that is destructive, it is people themselves.

I'm not test on animals.
I'm not poisoning the Earth.
I'm not manufacturing weapons.
That's how.
