Just now (at about 10:20AM in Minnesota) I heard a bird outside that made a sound like "uhhh." "Uuuh." It's call sounded similar to that of a pre-teen boy or a woman with a lower voice. At first I thought it might be a duck, but it didn't sound like a "quack" or any ducks I've ever heard.

It wasn't a crow. There were crows out there crowing and I definitely recognize the (annoying) call of crows.

I'm sure it was a bird. I was in my garage, garage door open and the sound came from up in the trees just outside.

And no peeping Tom could climb that high.

Definitely not a loon. Loons have a distinctive high pitch almost whistling call.

I don't think it was a fish crow. I listened to samples of the fish crow and they sounded similar but too quick and high pitched.

The humorous element however, is that at nighttime they make completely diverse noises!!!!
