Check out the chick-lit authors. That's what Cabot writes, so I would recommend Sophie Kinsella/Madeleine Wickham (the first is a pen name) and Hester Browne. Here's a website for chick-lit books: http://chicklitbooks.com/ It's a pretty good website.

Clique books are vaguely like Meg Cabot but different. If you want some that are a lot like them then check out the chick lit section of your local library

Louis Renninson is not exactly like Cabot, but her Confessions of Georgia Nicholson series is hilarious. I laughed out loud while reading. I laughed so hard I cried.
