Many people view this question regarding physical death. In such a case I don't know.
On the other hand, if viewed from a mental point of view, it means life after change. I have died many times in this regard. Being pushed time and again to become someone different because my life no longer needs the person I was. The old Me dies so that the new Me can rise from its ashes. No matter how much it hurts or how much I change, I will survive.

The answer to the question actually depends on your culture and religion e.g: catholics believe in a soul that moves to heaven; purgatory and hell - dependant on how you behaved in your current life - you do not come back . In other cultures Death is only the beginning of a journey ; the soul has learnt lessons in the previous life and now must enter the next phase of learning until you reach the ultimate goal - here the principal is that you die in this physical world and then come back as another human in a path to learn and help other. Then again I believe there is life after death and that we are put on this earth to achieve something, some of us learn enough and never return as a physical human but rather as guardian and guides to other humans - you could say we all have a touch of Angel in us :-)

no-one as ever actually gone and come back to tell us what happenes after death, but i believe in life after death, i hope it is a place were there is no pain no wrongdoings of any kind, and the place for eternal youth, why do i believe this? it is the way i was brought up and i don't know any better.

Well as stated before in other forms and everywhere else in the world!
Nothing! happends you just die!
or Everythign happends all at once!
This question is open ended and will never have a fact for an answer.. NEVER you will only know when you die if your brain can reconize the death maybe you will figure it out!
but i personally think Nothing happends just like when you go to sleep! but with out the dreaming!

My answer would be (like most people here) nobody knows for sure but if you asked a million people you would probably get zillions of answers depending on their cultural beliefs and ideas.

why worry about this now? Life is for living, if there is life after death it just HAS to be good and better than life as we know it. If it doesn't exist you won't be anywhere, so i ask again, WHY WORRY?????

I think your spirit/soul/essence lives out your hopes and dreams....Basically we each have our own personal 'heaven' with all the people and places and things we wanted there.
