Has she been with a stallion? If she has, the only way you can tell is to take her to the vet.

Mares have an average gestational period of 340 days. First of all you would need to determine when the last time was that she was exposed to a stallion and see how far along she would be if she were pregnant.
If she is within 30 days of foaling, she might be producing milk and therefore an udder and there would be signs of her foaling soon, like relaxation of the croup and vulva, her stomach would be changing shapes as the foal positions itself, and she might have a change in behavior as well. As the foal positions itself close to birth the profile of your mare's stomach would take on a V shape. Before that, though, she would have a rounded proffile and most likely the sides of her stomach would stick out further than the rest of her body when viewed from the rear.
If she is less than 30 days from foaling, try teasing her with a stallion every 3-4 days or so for a 3 week period. Mare's heat cycles last 21 days, so if she doesn't show signs of heat (urinating, winking of the vulva, standing to be bred) in a 3 week period, she could be pregnant, but that is not 100% reliable and some mares do not actively show heat and others will still be pregnant and show heat as an act of submissiveness.
The only true way to know for sure if she is pregnant is to have er palpatated or ultrasounded by an experienced vet. If your mare is indeed pregnant, then you will need to have a vet you can go to if you do have problems with the delivery anyway, so you might as well familiarize yourself with a vet that is experienced in equine reproduction anyway. If you don't know how far along your mare is, a good vet will be able to give you a range, too, and that will be helpful in preparing for your new arrival, if there is one.

If your not sure youshould take her to a vet so she can be palpated that's your best bet,Why don't ypu want to take her to the vets? You can measure her barrel and then monitior her weight gain as her pregnacy goes on her udders will swell up,you should be able to see the foal moving if you look at her sides as well depending on how long she is. Also when was her last heat ?

Have the vet come out a palpate you. It shouldn't cost you over $75.00 at the most. Other than that, I guess just measure her barrel and record any increase and watch her udder for growth and swelling. Also take her by a stud once in a while to see if she has come back into heat. You can also press on her sides gently to feel the baby move.

if u don' t want to take to a vet to see if she is pregnant there is something u can do. u can go to the drug store and buy a pregnacy test for her. the only problem with that is u have to collect a urine sample. but pregnacy test do work on animals.
