Do you hand it to him or toss it on the floor?

I hand it to him. To do otherwise would be downright rude.

I always hand any food to my dog, that has not already been put in her dish as a meal. I would never toss food onto the floor for man or beast.

why throw it on the floor - your treating him for doing good right? He loves the hand contact and a pat too, I alays hand feed my dog his goodies. Teaches them to be gentle and not snap too.

Sometimes i throw uphill for her to catch, or i throw down away from her, but on most occasions i do hand it her. My partner does a trick where she removes the treat from her lips (she's so gentle)

one dog likes to catch. the other likes to have it handed to them.

I am the owner though. I don't get hung up on being polite to a dog. I can be nice to them, as long as they realize who is boss and let me stay in control.

I always hand my dog her treats, she would just look at me in disgust otherwise, bit of a snob my old golden retriever.

My dogs wait patiently for their treats! Then I hand the treat to them - I wouldn't expect any less!

Both. I have a toy poodle that stays indoors. She a liitle miss priss. LOL. I had it to her. My lab that stays outside, I toss it to him and he catches it in mid air.

Depends on the dog itself.
