depends on the overdrive ratio and also what rmp you will be running. most cars withour overdrive can run between 135 and 145mph, but youe car should run about 150-160mph depending on power and rpm arrodynamics too (my car stock ran 137mph and withour the chin spoiler i ran 143 and still accelerating). will your car actually pull to it's redline? but the 3.73s are going to kill the top speed. if ya want top speed use a 2.72 or 2.50 ratio but then again it will kill your acceleration.

The 3.73 will give you a lot more off the line torque, but will kill some of your top end, depending on how your transmission is geared, it may not affect it that much.

You should be able to maintain 115-120, though it might be a little wound out. You can always swap the gears in the rear end if you want to be able to go faster - that engine has all the torque you need to leave someone off the line.

Good luck!!

You need to give more information about the gearbox, and which ratio your top gear is, along with which wheel and tire size you are running. Finally, we need to know the redline RPM of your engine.

**THEORETICAL** top speed could be calculated: Engine redline multiplied by top gearbox ratio gives you the maximum RPM of the wheels, Then, you need to find how far the car drives on a single rotation, and then multiply this by the number of revs, devide it so you get miles per hour.

In other words: We need more gearbox ratio and wheel size info to give you an accurate answer.

Rough estimate, based on the F-body 4l60E transmission with 3.73 gears, your tops spead should be 175 mph. Again, this is a rough estimate, since several variables are not considered in this calcualtion, such as horsepower, drag coefficient, weight, etc.

its still the same , your new engine will rev. @ 6000 and the speed will be the same , you will get to that speed quicker with the new engine and it will allow you to drop your rear gears into the high 2's giving you a higher top end ( and an out of whack speedo ) if that is what you are after.please wear your seat belt and upgrade your brakes.

140 - 150 mph: The engine WILL break Approching the top speed though, because your particlar engine/cars top speed is redline limited and a .030 overbored GM 350 will not run long @ reline before hand grenading (or rod-grenading, lol) the cylinder walls.
Good luck w/ it.

It will be the speed just before the valves start to float and the engine blows.
