This depends on what you mean by "all traces of history" and by "block." Also, the browser matters in some cases. Many freeware constantly remove standard browser history files, temp files, and cookies, and many of these things can be regulated by the internet options settings in browsers like IE (Microsoft's internet explorer). But your internet browsing history is also recorded by your internet service provider, by all computers and servers along each respective routing path via your ip address. The routing path basically connects your computer to the destination computer (web page) via the computer networks on the web, much like water buckets or sandbags are passed along a human chain through "distribution centers."

Hence the popularity of random ip address generator programs which change your IP address several times a second for difficult in tracking your activity or gaining access to your computer by making it a "moving target. So look into automatic privacy programs, and random IP generator programs.

BTW, if you want deleted files on your (destination) computer to be removed, simple deleting is insufficient when advanced software/hardware (typically employed by the NSA/FBI/CIA) is used to extract information from the hard drive or other computer memory. Government wipe options and complete material destruction are the only effective methods to render downloaded information and history irrecoverable. Government wipe simply involves writing random information (0s and 1s) over the sectors of interests (anywhere that the information of concern has been stored) tens of thousands of times over.

Unfortunately, re-installation of the operating system with the option to reformat the disk is the first step. There are systems called WMI and WBEM built in that record much more detailed activity than is apparent from the user interface. Attempts to cleanse it just result in more record-keeping!
The bad news just begins. The destination (web site) is not the only record keeper of your activity on the net. Many routers and caching sites are on the internet and they tend to store your links and even content. Not to mention the NSA. For an example, try typing tracert www.yahoo.com

My spouse says i'm obsessed. I incredibly produce different activities to which i glance forward, like hiking roses, handling a small pond, taking Holy Communion to the ill and hours answering questions. i think of there must be extra stages. as quickly as, i attempted to discover a particular point 7 and went via pages and pages of point 7s. There must be extra stages above 7. suitable now i'm a point 5 and in 4,000 extra factors i'm going to be a point six. and finally a seven. There must be 5,000 factor stages as much as ten or 20. direction, that could require extra programming.

You also have to manually delete your cookies by going to start/search/type in "cookies" then highlight them all and hit delete. You can delete the history and cookies on the tools button but manually deleting gets rid of it all. (Unless you have someone who knows how to find it b/c NOTHING is ever truly gone from a PC?)

In your browser's Preferences you can usually set it to never record your history or set it to keep track of "0 days". Doing this depends on what browser you have.
