LIke he said in his initial interview, his parents were into the hippie movement and that is why he was named sundance. You know he had to get tough growing up in East Texas with a name like that.

His dad is Roy Head and was a popular singer in the South during his day. He had a band that toured and cut some record deals. Music people/ Hollywood often give their children unusual names. Demi Moore named one of her daughters Scout. Jolie named hers Zahara. I guess Sundance fits in the music world where he grew up as a kid.

IDK but he didn't sing very well on American Idol last night. I hope he won't go home though as he seems to be a sweetie! Maybe he has hippie parents?
