actually, I did this when I was in school with a couple of friends, but, we each did this solo, while the others waited outside of the bathroom to stop anyone else from disturbing the "ceremony" thing. My heart was beating so fast, and the two other girls that had gone before me screamed and ran out of that bathroom white as sheets!! Before I even began, I was prepared for the worst, and I was also only 7 years old!! Yeah, I saw something alright--me!! And it scared the living crap out of me!! Thanks for the memory, I haven't thought of that day, well, probably since the day I actually did it! Crazy!
I figure that by the time you do all that you have to do to summon the girl-or Mary-or whatever she is, your eyes have just adjusted to the required pitch black of the room you perform this in...revealing you in the mirror before you, just enough of you to scare the hell out of you, and high tale it out of there before you realize that you are the only one that was summoned by all that nonsense-you and your imagination, of course.

You are absolutely right :) Not a thing happens. Unless you're looking in a two-way mirror and have a mischevious friend on the other side of it who decides to play a joke on you...but, in an ordinary mirror, with just you, nothing happens. You may creep yourself out, but that's about it.

I never tried it but, when I was in Kindergarten that story scared me so much I didn't want to go use the bathroom, and I sat in my chair and pee-peed on myself!!!
It was a nerve-racking and humiliating experience for a 6 year-old, all because of some weirdos who like to scare people!

I dont think anything really happens.
I heard about it when i was about 7 yrs old. Some girls tried it in the school restroom and ran out screaming. But i think they were just playing. There's no such thing!

nothing happend when i did it... but when my friends brother did it.... well im not sure what happend but i think he paniced because we held the door shut and he was screaming and banging on the door then we heard the mirror shatter. when we opend the door there was blood everywhere. he had to get stitches.... i dont think it was bloody mary i think it was his brother that got so scared he broke the mirror and cut himself alot while doing it
