And don't just stop at Yahoo searches....look to the local and national news! In a half hour national news broadcast on CBC, they have to fill in time with 'feel good' stories! Isn't there enough happening in the world, or enough subject matter to educate the masses to fill a half hour without having to provide filler?

The general dumbing down of the nation is coming at us from all angles, and hightened by the media. It started with the lack of emphasis on proper writing skills within the educational system...and now it is everywhere. The greatest nation in the world has now become the saddest nation in the world based upon their fascination with such important subjects as the baldness of Brittney Spears, the latest antics of Paris Hilton and the death of a non-celebrity like Anna Nicole Smith.

I'm glad that there's someone out there that agrees....thanks for your giving me the opportunity to vent!

It states that the level of wisdom is low. Intelligence is not being used to it's fullest extent, so that the veiwer can assume that the membership of Yahoo's searches are a mass of teenagers, and a small number of immature young adults. There are also a good number of adults in a minority to be sure, but they are not interested in the top ten.
Given the age of the mass we cannot question the level of intelligence. This is because our assumption of wisdom is low, therefore the maturity level is low, therefore the mass of of searches must come from the level of a teenager.
This denotes an age group; not an intelligence level.
So it says that a vast majority of the users on Yahoo searches, are kids looking for "the in thing" right now.
Do we know what their SATs are? Do we know how many thousands of them are going to go through university?
Lack of maturity and experienced wisdom is what the top ten most popular searches on Yahoo says about the mass searches.
I would give the current mass more years to develop before I would consign any Intelligent Quotient on them.
