I know how to snowboard, but I have never surfed. I would love to learn, would I have to start from scratch or would my snowboarding skills give me a good headstart?
Also, if you've done both, which one do you like best?

i live in Hawaii and surf. Believe me they're not the same. Snowboarding you turn with the whole board. with surfing it's more of turning with the back of the board because the fins are in the back. But snowboarding definitely gives you a head start. The balance will crossover from snowboarding to surfing. I actually prefer snowboarding. I think it's alot more fun. both are great but i'd rather snowboard because i can surf any day. =)
