Yes, he will still be able to use his email. Don't get rid of IE7 though because when you use windows update it won't allow any other brand of browser. Just use firefox for your day to day.

I would advise against trying to eliminate IE, it is an integral part of the OS. Just install and run Firefox.

Yes, Outlook Express is just an email client and has nothing to do with your browser.

what you want to do is just use fire fox as your default sever that way he can go back at anytime to check his out look
