They weren't even trying to show like they were giving SOME effort. Notice nobody really ran, they were practically walking through it. Totally agree with Bill Simmons: "To LeBron James, who coasted through the Skills Challenge on All-Star Saturday and played the All-Star Game with the uplifting, charismatic intensity of a female porn star trying to break one of those "most male partners in one afternoon" records. Could we end up putting him in the "Too Much, Too Soon" Pantheon some day? Will he become the basketball version of Eddie Murphy, Britney Spears, Michael Jackson and every other celeb who became famous too quickly and eventually burned out? Here's what I know. No doubt, the skills competition took a dive this year. The hype was there, the players were there, the intensity was not. I think an elementary school basketball player would've posted times. Yes, the all star competition is suppose to be a break in the vigorous NBA season and also fun, but it is still a competition! Fans still paid to come and watch you overpaid basketball players perform to win. Unfortunately, it was just another light exercise for them and boring event altogether. Man i was all excited you know all four players are great players and i was waiting for a battle unfortunatly it look like a bunch of kids who were forced to do something they didnt want to. By the payers expressions you can tell they were not trying they didnt want to be there etc.. Atleast one player looked like he went to win and he did so hopefully it goes good. If players are going to be like this then there should be no cash prize like they dont already have enough money
