I do agree with it.

Marriage is either a religious bond or a civil right bestowed by the state.

There are several religions that bless same-sex unions, so denying it on religious grounds doesn't work.

As for the civil part, to deny this right to a segment of the population is just wrong.

On the business side, some argue that it will cost business too much to have to provide spousal benefits to same-sex partners. Well, first of all, many businesses already do that. Second, it's a small number. And third - SO WHAT - it would cost less if they didnt have to provide benefits to Blacks or women, too, but they still have to do it.

There are no negative affects to society to allowing same-sex marriage, and in fact there are benefits to promoting stable adult relationships, so there is no reason to deny it.

I agree that in a democratic society every citizen should be free to live however they please unless, of course, it infringes upon the rights of another. Same sex marriages are in no way different than those of straight individuals, except of course that they usually last longer and their children are usually better adjusted and more compassionate (it's a fact, look it up). There is no just reason why same sex couples should be barred from marrying.

Yes marriage is a right, not a hetero priviledge...

I should be able to marry the woman I love regardless us being the same sex.

Gay marriages does not threaten hetero marriages, the only ones who can destroy a hetero's marriage are the ones in that marriage.

If this country has equal rights for all, then it does not need to be limited. Equal rights for all means or should mean just that... equal for everyone..

I agree. Who's to say gay people can't love eachother as much or better as straight people? There'd be a lower divorce rate and a much lower infedelity rate if this country would treat gay people as if they actually mattered.

Yes. Marriage is a human right, the genders don't matter. Besides, how can you deny love? Love is all that matters.

I agree with it. It's a sign that two people who love each other want to make a lifetime committment to each other.

Live and let live is my motto. It is not my place to dictate or judge peoples sexuality or anything else for that matter. They are as I am.
