I need a new phone. I currently have Verizon but am not able to purchase a new phone from them. I've been looking on eBay but am hesitant to purchase a phone from them. What do I need to know about buying a phone online? What is a good website to buy from? Any other ideas for getting a new phone? I don't really want to spend a lot of money as I am planning on changing service providers in a few months

With Verizon service, you MUST purchase a Verizon branded phone, Ebay is a good source if you are looking for a replacement phone to get you through the rest of your contract, There are some great Cellular phone sellers on Ebay with 98 to 100 percent positive feedback. Once the phone is purchased, call Verizon and have them add the new phone to your account, simple as that and this method will NOT extend your contract. If you purchased a new phone through Verizon, they would extend your contract by 2 years. Once your contract is up, re-sell the Verizon phone and change to the provider that best suits your needs

I just bought a tracfone online; it's great, it's prepaid minutes and no contract, and the phones are programmed to pick up ANY cell signal from ALL the providers. I'd go with them if I were you. They don't cost much and you can still keep it on hand even if you sign on with a new service provider a few months down the road.

I bought my phone online (ebay)

I completed my contract with T-Mobile and was month-to-month. Just transferred my SIM chip from my old phone to my new phone and voila.
