If your best freind premeditates a murder and kills her husband, who's been brutally physically abusing her for years (makes it look an accident) and gets away with it would you report her?

You report it. She could always have gotten a divorce and gotten away from him without resorting to killing him, but likely did so because it was financially convenient for her to do so. A good lawyer may be able to prove that she was mentally unstable due to the abuse and have the charged reduced to manslaughter.

But if is she told you, you don't report it and it can be proved later, then you could be charged as an accessory after the fact and obstruction of justice and will not have such a loophole and may end up doing time for her crime.

That is something you have to really think about. If you report her, she'll go to jail. They'll take into consideration that she was abused (or claims she was abused-they need to have proof to believe her). But since it was premeditated, she'll go to jail for murder. Only you know your friend, only you know how hurt she was, how abusive the relationship was to lead her to this. Also if you do report her, be prepared for alot of people to hate you. Do what it is in your heart. Even if it's not exactly the righ thing to do. But if you find that you can't live with this knowledge, know that at least you made your conscious clear.

No I wouldn't but that is just me.It is completely up to you adn what your morals are. Personally if it was my best friend and her husband was brutally beating her and she was fearful of her life not to mention if there are children involved, and going to the aouthorities never help, so they give him a restraining order, big deal, but reality is nothing would be done until he killed her. so in my opinion it was self defense but with all the crooked lawyers and judges in the world no body would see it that way and she would spend the rest of her life in jail for protecting herself when she was the victim and nobody wanted to do anything when her life was in danger. I would have helped her killed him! that is just me.

You are faced with an issue that will test your sense of morality. In my opinion, such an event cannot remain uninvestigated, regardless of the motivation for the killing. It should be determined if a crime has occurred, and left to the the courts to determine guilt or innocence. In our society, one cannot to take a life without consequences.

Is this serious? I would definitely report her. The taking of a human life is wrong, no matter whether or not someone thought they deserved it. Your friend was playing God and she should be punished for it. There were other alternatives.

yes, it doesnt matter if she was abused or not, killing is so much worse in everyway possible that u can ever think of. If she did it once she can do it again, taking away a life if so wrong beyond all reasons and it doesnt matter what he did to her, she could of fix it in so! many differnt ways, if she killed him that she is fare worse than he ever was.

Now that's a question, what's your best friend's email address? If I tell her you asked this she might off you too, or just keep you tied up in her house forever.
