I think it may mean Double crown

I looked out of curiosity. Seems to indicate that it is Delft porcelain. Apart from that any mention I saw only described the mark for online auction pieces (e.g. ebay), no source given. Then I wasn't curious enough for more...

It's probably the artist's mark. Most potters will use their initials and an emblem to distinguish their pieces.

If it was handpainted, my guess would be the artist's initials.
