I have swimming once a week and it is complete torture. 18 laps for warm up? I can't do it. But i good grade too. We have to bring our swim stuff to school with us and if you forget it, you get a bad grade. If you "miss" the bus on purpose, the head principal comes hunting for you. Help! I need excuses!

I'm sorry to say that any excuse that you try to use more than once will probably need a parent or doctor's note. I know how you feel though, I absolutely hated PE in junior high and high school, but I love excercising now (especially swimming!)

The best thing I can think of is to say that the chlorine in the pool gives you a rash. This is a common problem, especially in public pools where they have to use tons of chemicals to keep the pool clean with sooo many people using it daily. Again, they'll probably eventually ask for a parent's note, but it will certainly work for a while. And if you can get your parents to go along with it you'll be good as gold!

Good luck to you! Hopefully you'll go back to swimming one day when you're not forced to swim 18 laps, because it really is fun!

If you were a girl you could say you have your period, but that can only work once/twice a month :)

Or for longterm excuses, you could say you have a heart arhythmya (probably wrong spelling, it means your heart has problems keeping a steady rhythm), but you would probably have to provide a doctor's proof.
Which leads to the following!

Swimming is one of the best sports a man can do, good for posture, lung capacity, heart strength ... etc, so you better go and try your best.
You could try and explain your teacher that you just can't keep up, but will give your best to improve. That should leave a good impression.

To conclude, best not to miss it.

after spring break, or if you have ski week now, say that you had phnemonia, that would get you out of swimming, and running. Start couphing a lot.
Me I love running and swimming, but unfortunatly had pnemonia 3 times.

You should swim more often and eventually as you improve you will be glad. Not what you wanted but really, stick with it.
