The first thing I did was to get rid of my watch. I only use one when I absolutely have to be watching the minutes. Most of the time I can see what time it is on clocks, or the car clock or my cell phone if I need to check. But I found when I was wearing the watch, I was constantly looking at it thinking 3 minutes, 12 minutes, etc. It added a level of tension to Everything I did. You'll get there when you get there, it'll get done when it's done. Fretting over how many minutes have passed adds so much unnecessary stress.
Don't be too hard on yourself. Don't get stressed when there is too much to do or you are running out of time. Just do the Next Thing Next. Get to it when you can. If you truly can't - worrying about it isn't going to change anything.
Don't set yourself up for failure. Don't procrastinate. Don't do something you know is wrong. Don't lie. You CAN avoid putting yourself in situations that create stress and anxiety.
The first step is reducing the stress in your life.
If I do get stressed, I try to "step back" and be realistic about what I can do. Sometimes, "Oh well!" helps me ignore it. If that's not the solution, I try to find some "Me time" and I do not feel guilty about it. I need to do something for myself, like take a walk, read a book, lay down and listen to some music - whatever... Doing something for myself is always on my priority list. If I can settle myself down I am always better able to cope with stressful situations.
Think of the snowball rolling down the hill, it just keeps gathering more snow until it's huge. Problems can be like that. Stress can be like that. You have to stop the ball from rolling. Change gears, tackle something else, then when you come back, it's only a little snowball and you can deal with that.

By wondering if something can be done about it or let it ride out (tomorrow is another new day).
If it's teens causing stress, you know eventually the time will come when they'll grow up and move away (a kinda bittersweet time). But in the mean time enjoy the moment and have a few drinks to settle the nerves, it will pass.

I read a good book or answer question here on this site. It helps me to get over my stress to try and help others with their problems. And a good talk with a close friend helps also.
