You can call your employer and remind them. They must mail all W2's by January 31st. If a friendly reminder does not work, then follow the instructions bellow:

If you don't receive your Form W-2 by February 15, contact the IRS for assistance at (800) 829-1040. Also, you may want to refer to Tax Topic 154, Form W-2 - What To Do if Not Received, to see the specific information the IRS will need in order to prepare a Form 4598, Form W-2, 1098 or 1099 Nor Received, Incorrect, or Lost. You will be sent a copy of Form 4598 along with a Form 4852, Substitute for Form W-2, Wage and Tax Statement, or Form 1099R, Distributions from Pensions, Annuities, Retirement or Profit Sharing Plans, IRAs, Insurance Contract, etc.

Contact the company and inform them that you have yet to receive your W2 form. Start filling out the forms with the last paystub. After 5 days from contacting the company, you sitll have not received the W2, contact the IRS and inform them. They will get the bottom of it and possibly audit the company.

Contact the accounting or bookkeeping department and request a duplicate.

All businesses in the US are required to forward W-2's by January 31st of each year. Quite often they get lost in the mail or the employer may have
an address that is not your current address.

The above answer is incorrect - A pay stub showing your year to date earnings and withholdings is not acceptable in lieu of a W-2. The IRS
will withhold your refund, if you have one, until a legitimate W-2 is forwarded to them.

if you have your last pay stub from the company you can use it to file; if not contact the IRS and they can start the ball rolling for you. you will need company name and address for the ones you do not have.
