The chances of being "supposedly" bitten depends on whether you hang with the type of people who would claim to be astrally-projected vampires, I guess. The chances of _actually_ being bitten by an astrally-projected vampire are pretty much slim and none, alas.
Either way, I've never heard of anyone turning into anything after being bitten by an astrally-projected vampire, either in the literature, or among vampire-subculture-type folk. Probably 'cause "astrally-projected vampires" are about as over the top and unlikely as, say, pirate-ninjas.

impossible for two reason: 1) the vampire (not the bat) is a myth, and 2) an astral projection couldn't actually bite you because it doesn't have a body. of course, if vampires were real, then they'd just have to turn to fog and pass through into your room through an open window. And the reason why you wouldn't just have to be bitten is because they have to drain you of all of the blood in your body (in some myths anyway; others say you need to drink the blood of a vampire). IF vampires were real, then they'd have to do those things for you to turn int one yourself, but get proof first, otherwise you'll end up with some disease. Best of luck as you explore the night a new being!!

That's a stupid question! You can be bitten by a vampire on regular basis if your out at the right time. My master knows that already. She was bitten by one last night while her and I were at a party with about 9 or 10 other people and all those people were vampires. But it only took one to do it. The rest of the vampires, including me, had more control than that. Luckily...my master's still human. Anyways the point is that you can get bitten on a regular basis when the time is right.

Oh i would say about a million to one. Most of the vampires that are around today really want to lead exclusive lives as "normal" people without causing much trouble. You do occasionally have the one or two psychos who are out to change the world and convert or kill all humans. So really your chances are not that high living in the usa. Now go over to an old world country of say Bolivia or Transilvania and your chances increase to say about 40%. Dont get me wrong, i definately believe in astral projected beings and spirits but most do not want to harm us, just help us out and show us the way. You will meet an occasional poltergiest that can intend to harm and cause trouble but they are really just lost souls energy that has been left behind like an imprint or such on our world. If you are really worried, wear a garlic turtleneck and only tread in holy ground.

You are kindof mixing apples and oranges.
There are a variety of physical vampires ranging from humans that enjoy the fictional fantasy vampires too much, cultists that practice blood drinking (very few of them have slipped into the realm of believing their own lies), then there are the unquiet dead more similar to ghouls and very rare since embalming practices are worldwide now, soulless psychopaths, lawyers, and other damaged bloodthirsty humans, etc.
Psychic vampires are a different thing all together. Though some humans that have strong animal magnetism can have a great influence on someone’s mind, they are still physical.
Real psychic vampires feed off of intense emotions. They range from the simple "I feel so depressed all the sudden," fun-suckers to the much more dangerous "You like movie vampires don't you? Let me in to your life and your fantasies will come true," type that are very dangerous; they are invited into your mind and let in by the front door. When given strength by someone else's mind, they may even take on a pseudo-physical form that encourages belief. They can even attack someone who does not believe in such things because they are strengthened by those that do. The best defense against these sort of attacks is to be self assured and in balance (know your own darkness so you cannot be blackmailed). Also, simply do not associate with people who believe in such things or give them strength by their belief.
Finally, "vampires" are a popular mask to put on psychic attacks. Someone attacking someone else's mind may use an attack that draws strength from its victim. Weakness caused by such an attack can in extreme cases be crippling, and the mental equivalent of an infection can occur and confuse the victim into believing that they are being changed when really they are getting depressed and turning against themselves. In such cases the victim may need a therapy and/or a cleansing ceremony to get themselves in balance.

Probably pretty slim. In order to turn into one, you have to drink their blood as well as be bitten. Pretty difficult if they are just astral projected.

It is something that I have never heard of happening in the 30 odd years that I have had associations with such entities. There has to be an actual physical encounter for that to happen, astrally doesn't work.

Although i like them in books and movies i believe they don't exist. Most people who practice vampireisim are basically pshycos so i can say that the chance of them actually bitting u is low.If anything they would first kill u then do it.Not trying to sound like a pshyco. i'm just saying.Anyway there just a myth popluated by the media.

Pretty slim since they dont exsist. I like to read the Anne Rice books. The history she writes about is interesting, but vampires just arent out there.
Wait Bigfoot just walked in let me see what he thinks. :)
