If a West Indian player accused of match fixing is allowed to play then why not Shoaib Akhtar? But actual problem is Akhtar himself because with the kind of attitude he has, it is pre-mature to say any thing about him unless he plays one or two games in the mega event. I am sure millions around the world like to see him play as he is a sensational fast bowler, but his non serious approach towards the game of cricket...alas

i could propose him to look forward....yet not in cricket. His occupation is now "the tip". i think him as a underachiever with the aptitude he has, as regrettably he himself ended his sport. Now in the presence of lots youthful skills in row like Talha, Anwar Ali, Wahab its not attainable nor quite useful for Akhtar to try for paying for place in the national team. perfect of luck to him for his existence. Sorry while you're his supporter, and that i'm hoping my words heavily isn't offensive to anybody.

iI strongly feel that he will not play the world cup as he himself has stated that he is not yet fully fit. Further, if he undergoes dop test, it will defenitely show positive and he will not be allowed to play.
