there are many different ways to homeschool -- some unschool, some freeschool, some do traditional school in a home setting -- where your comfort level, and what you and your child's goals are should be the determining factor in the ways that you go about homeschooling...

I do not recommend it. Though a trained parent could teach at the elementary level....when middle school hits the subjects become specialized.....especially in high school there will be problems because the parent will not know that advanced stuff in all subjects. How will the parent know how to teach a foreign language, advanced math, college bound english, physics, chemistry, history, etc. students need certain amounts of english, science, math, foreign language, and fine arts to go to college
