Anyone know how to get them at more than a tiny little discount? I have been searching the web for days and these so called discounts are a joke ... $5 off gate price ... sort of insulting when the beginning price is a few hundred and then some(lol). I know the world goes on supply and demand and these are definitely in demand but...... Im not rich and I know there are REAL discounts hiding out there!!!!!

Thank you in advance for your help!!!!!!!!

Be very careful trying to find discounted tickets online. So many people sell tickets, the way they used to be sold. Tickets have changed a lot in the last few years. For example, tickets now expire 14 days after the first use, unless no-expiration is put on, which most people don't usually do. Before, the tickets didn't expire, so as long as there were days left, you could use them. Also, a lot of people will sell tickets without any days left, so you don't find out until you try to use them. Finally, tickets are non-transferrable now, so when you go into the park, you put your finger into a biometric system, and only you are allowed to use that ticket from that point on. A lot of people will sell their ticket to you, after they have used it, and then you can't use it unless you can proove you are actually that person.

The safest thing to do is either buy the tickets from Disney, or a reputable travel agent. If you are going to go for several days, Disney offers discounts this way. After you go past 3 or 4 days of passes, the additional days only go up abuot $1.07 per person, per day, so that makes it a huge savings. The longest past averages down to around $30 or so. Also, if you have time, you can purchase the tickets before you leave, and this will give you a small discount over the gate prices (plus you don't have to wait in line) If you are looking to save a little more money, consider whether or not you actually need the hopping. It is a great add on, but does add some money to the cost, if you don't plan to use it, you don't really need it. The water-park option is a great deal if you plan to visit the water parks or DisneyQuest, two times.

Finally, AAA is an option as well. I don't know how much you actually save, but if you have a membership, they save you a little money on the pass. If you don't have a membership, I'm not sure if you would save money to get it or not.

But generally, the best, safest, way to go is to get it directly with Disney or a travel agent. That way, you don't have to pay twice and end up spending more money.

Good luck

I think your best bet would be to stay at a hotel on premise at Disneyland. May cost a bit more, but if you can find a deal where the Disney tickets are included or deeply discounted, it might be worth it. Otherwise, it is hard to find discounted tickets. Disney doesnt really need to offer them. They are definately in a sellers market because there isnt really a comparable alternative.

Disney does not hand out many discounts. When we went several years ago the hotel concierge sold tickets at about the best discount I was able to find. We were staying off premises; I'd suggest you give your hotel a call.

you won't be able to. DisneyWorld tickets at the instant are not discounted to any substantial degree. AAA used to have "decrease fee" WDW tickets that saved some money, yet i'm not sure they nevertheless have them. With WDW, in case you prefer to flow to, attempt to be prepared to pay up.
