like a 3 year old and gets people to walk me home as I am shy and innocent looking.I feel that she equals me out this is not good for my self esteem as I feel low afterwards if I dont sort this out I cant go there anymore, how do I say it to her without hurting her feelings? This is one of the reasons why I dont ask girls out sometimes.

It's a tough one but you have to tell her.
Just say something like...I know that you are only looking out for me; and I'm grateful but...you make me feel like a child when you do these things.
I was thinking of just not coming to visit anymore, but I decided to tell you how I felt instead.

Tell her and don't worry about hurting her feelings. Tell her it is hurting yours. Sometimes parents have to grow up and accept the fact that their children are all grown up. The truth hurts.

Maybe talk to your dad about it and get him to have a word, or just tell her to leave you alone, you are 23 not 3 and don't need smothering.

Are you sure that she isn't just trying to set you up with someone? It is a convenient excuse for you to hang out and spend some one on one time with somebody. Maybe she is just trying to help you along.

Ask girls out and bring them back home and snog them infront of her. She has to understand her behavour hurts you.

if she wants to protect you tell her to pay for self defence lessons and assertiveness lessons

Oh wow... I'm 23 also. You do need to grow up. Why are you living with your parents?

this is definitively wrong. Tell her that you´re not going to accept this anymore and taht you´re informing her of your new resolution and not asking her permission. If she doesn´t understand, who cares? she´s your STEPmom not your mom.

At least she cares. I know a woman whose step mother never let her babysit her half brothers or sisters, and in short treated her and her brother (mother dead), like they hardly existed!!!
