When someone has mental control over someone else, but that person doesn't take any more of it and ends it....how does the other person feel when they lose this control? For example someone who has manipulative tendencies or mental abusive behavior, how does this peson feel when they lose that control and cant be empowered by the "enabler" so to speak? I am very curious. Anyone that is a psychology major, psychologist or anyone can relate from experience please comment. Thanks.

Simply put, the manipulator sees himself at the center of the universe and all things revolve around him. He has an inate sense of ownership and possession of everything, feels little empathy for others, and does little unless there is personal advantage or gain for himself.

I believe you are asking 2 separate questions.

A manipulator is generally thought of as a sneaky self serving individual who subtly tweaks people and events to get desired results. They are more a strategist playing the game of life. I believe the loss of the game or person for them is simply that. Shoot well that didn't work, Next..... and on they go.

However the mental, verbal , physical abuser is a more specific, invasive form of manipulation. These people generally tear others down to establish their own self worth and most times the loss of that power creates anger and often obsession at trying to regain that control.
