So how many of you think it's a good idea?
I think it's definitely *possible* for men & women to do the Just Friends" thing. But from my own experiences, I hate it under 2 circumstances:
1) When you'd done the pursuing, you're rejected & then offered the "just friends" option.
2) You get dumped & the "just friends" offer is made....But you want em back.
I think under those circumstances, just friends is doomed. If 1 party wants more, it'll Never work. And what're you supposed to do if/ when they hook up again? Pretend to be "happy" for them? Nope. Would rather br honest-
I always refuse "Let's Be Friends". Best way to begin the healing process asap & move on.

There you went and did it, making this way too emotionally complicated. First and foremost you don't intimately kiss a friend and you don't turn a lover into a friend.
No matter who says what there will always be baggage between two ending and some deeper underlying resentments. Secondly if you find a gal or a dude attractive and want to be his friend... I suspect you wanted him or her for more than just friends from the beginning? And were an opportunist to see if he or she ever becomes available and or some day open to your way of thinking. Especially if you get a chance to work your magic or charm as it were?

I am still friends with all my ex boyfriends due to the fact, we were friends first. I could never understand "can we just be friends?" If you are dating someone who you weren't friends with first, that would be a stupid thing to request. Thank you.
