Well, it depends on your range.
Try "Oh What A Beautiful Morning" from Oklahoma
or "Song of The King (7 Fat Cows)" from Joseph and the technicolor dreamcoat
or maybe "Sadder But Wiser Girl" or "Marian The Librarian" from The Music Man
Don't EVER use a song from the show you are auditioning for unless the casting directors specifically ask you to.

True, it's considered bad form to audtion with a song from the show for which you are auditioning... you should pick a song with a similar theme and range and style... I would recommend auditioning for the scarecrow by singing "Make em Laugh" from Singing In the Rain...

"Kansas City" from Oklahoma! (sung by Will, who is usually cast by the same type of rubbery dancer-singer as the Scarecrow). It might not be appropriate for someone younger than a high school student, though.
NEVER sing a song from the show you are auditioning for (unless specifically requested) because it shows the Director exactly how you'd be if cast in that role. If your idea of the character isn't his idea of the character, he'll worry that he might not be able to direct you away from your own ideas, and he will likely cast someone else instead. Let him think he is starting with a clean slate for that character.

Never audition with anything from the show you are auditioning for. Unless the directors or producers request it, auditioning with something from the show you're auditioning for can actually hurt your chances.
Look for something from the same era and/or something with the same general tone. Songs from "Music Man" or "Oklahoma" or "Carousel" would probably be good. Possibly "Annie Get Your Gun". If you're looking for something relatively obscure, try "L'il Abner".

The obvious choice: "If I Only Had a Brain." But he also sang "We're off to see the Wizard" along with the others.

maximum musical auditions that I even have been in could have you ever the two sing a music they % between the script, or you will could locate your man or woman music to sing. in case you are able to locate your man or woman, be sure it quite is from a musical...and in the variety of Dorothy. you % them to photograph you as her as you audition. they could make you learn choreography, or not...i don't think of they'll for the Wizard of ozalthough...it quite is often somewhat some skipping around. you will could examine from the script or not. some directors purely have you ever examine from the script in case you get a decision back to maintain time. the two way...start up training a cold examining (examining from the script allowed and in character). maximum needed, do your perfect to not enable the judges intimidate you. i will sing in front of hundreds of persons and be nice, yet as quickly as I get in front of judges, i'm getting quite frightened. sturdy luck!!!!

DONT use a song from the show. Choose something short and entertaining that you can deliver clear and strong. AND make sure that you add some dancing steps- that will impress them.
