Can't tell you about Rhode Island, never been there. I moved from to North Carolina two years ago. I love it. I live outside of Charlotte, the area is growing rapidly. There are jobs, but it depends on what field you are in. The people are really nice and incredibly helpful. I don't know what part of North Carolina you are thinking of. We do have nice beaches, Myrtle Beach comes to mine. We also have skiing up in the mountains. So it depends on what you want. I can tell you that the housing prices and property tax are a lot cheaper here than in PA. The weather is also more temperate. It is Feb and the high will be 60. However, it does get very humid in the summer.
