The bidle is neither fact or fiction.

It is allegory. Teaching spiritual truths via stories (much the same way Jesus taught by parable.

I think it's a mixture of the two.

On one hand, it's facts because a lot of the events from the Bible did take place. The city of Jericho did fall to the Israelites, there were kings named David and Solomon, and the nation of Israel was often at odds with Babylon. These facts have been presented, however, from the perspective of the people they glorify, so logically speaking, they have more than likely been tweaked to make those people look more favorable.

On the other hand, because the Bible also includes an obvious creation myth, I also consider it to be fiction. Due to my thought that some of the facts have been misrepresented, I feel that even those factual parts have been fictionalized as well.

it's based on true events, but we can't be sure whether all of the miracles perfromed actually happened. And the part aout Adam and Eve is fiction (unless you're a creationist, in which case you believe they really were the first humans and were just created). Adam and Eve are symbolic of God's power to create life. scientists have proved that we evolved from apes. Of course, they can't prove the stuff in the bible didn't happen. But Jesus did exist (more than Christians say so, so it has to be true), the profets did exist, the sons of Jacob existed, Mary and Joseph existed (though whether she was really a virgin is still a mystery and requires a leap of faith if you really stand strong to the idea that it couldn't happen; however this is yet another symbol of God's power to create life)

The Bibles new testament is a book that depends on the faith of adherents to worship of Jesus of Nazareth. There is little hard evidence that it is a sequence of events that actually happened. The only collaborative evidence is the inclusion of historical characters who are recognized through many records. This does not mean what is described did not happen, but it does leave much of the story on shaky ground. Also, many of the described incidents are written of by authors who did not attend the occasion themselves and are separated from the incident by decades of past time. The Bible has been translated and edited to the point that many of its words confuse or contradict rather than edify the reader.

It all comes down to faith and belief. If you have faith that the Bible is real and factual and believe it is holy truth, than for you, it is. However, to try and force it on others as their truth is objectionable.

Fictional fact. It has historical fact inter-woven with fiction. Obviously, creation, the exodus, miracles etc never occurred - there is no substantiating evidence for them. The places, wars, captivities etc probably occurred or existed.

I personally believe the Bible is fact, not only because I am a christian but also because everything lines up right. It talks about things that are going to happen in the future and right now they are happening just read Revelations. And if you are not a christian then I am not saying oh God is right and you are going to go to Hell for not believing in the Bible that is your choice. But if you are a christian then all I can say is what do you base your life on?
