Ok, now that I got your attention I am going to make a little live fireside chat (kind of like when Bush Sr. pulled out a bag of cocaine on national tv and told us all the drugs are bad). Iraqis (pronounced ee-ro-KEEs) are not bad people, just like the way Christians are neither. It´s just that people only hear what they want to hear. If one culture (the Iraqi day to day comfort of life) is made a lot more abysmal, and the security is compromised THAT is what breeds the hate. Not being able to drink clean water, because the plants were bombed, not being able to leave your house to go to work or school (the Iraqis are scared too), having more than 100 bodies a day turn up with signs of torture. The area was fragile before invasion, and yet some people would prefer to say that it was just a coincidence as the American soldiers heroically saved these peoples lives. Just one question, and I only want one of two answers...
Will you stop the hate, child?

That´s the thing, I never said whether or not I thought the military should leave. I just tried to make a way that somebody could understand my point. Stop the hate, child. Lord have mercy.

I got confused at the end of your post. But, I wish we could go back in time and do better for the Iraqi people, or leave them alone. I don't know anybody who thinks Iraqis are bad people. (But maybe I'm lucky).

I am very worried about the Iranian people (and of course the American soldiers). Up until the stupid "axis of evil" speech, young Iranians and Americans had plenty in common and great mutual friendship. I worked with a charming, intelligent woman from Iran in Boston. Another coworker who was American went to high school in Tehran and he loved it there. Too much fear is being created by both American and Iranian leaders. I have no idea how to stop the hate. Do you?

We stopped the HATE CHILD he was Saddam. The water that you speak of only ran clean to The Bathe Party members homes, businesses and offices. The rest of the old clay pipes that ran and run through the city of Baghdad were damaged filthy and tainted with disease. The American military are replacing those pipes and the whole water treatment system there. The Iraqi people want to live in peace, they didn't want Saddam killing and raping them and they don't want the Insurgents kidnapping, beheading or blowing them up either. They want the U.S. military to leave EVENTUALLY. Not now when they need help. Do you really believe that abandoning them now will keep more of them alive? They don't.

Yes, I will single-handedly stop the hate. Any other questions?

From what I can tell, most of the attacks on Americans and our allies is from outside sources, like Al Queda, and other militant groups that have called for jihad (sp?) against America for (insert reason here). The only reason they are fighting us in Iraq is because that's where we are. If we were out of Iraq, they'd attack us in Afghanistan or New York City or US Embassies in Kenya, etc...

Most of the rest of the fighting is simply one religious faction fighting the other (Sunni v/s Shia). Haven't you noticed that the victims of those bombings in markets are usually Iraqis of primarily one faction? That has little to do with us. They have been given freedom! And they chose to use that freedom to kill each other.

Americans have no idea about true suffering. Life for Iraqis is very bad. Think 9/11 EVERYDAY. We don't care (unfortunately) and we hate what we don't understand.

The hate was brought to American soil. We did not start the hate and therefore, we are not the ones who need to stop it. All Americans are not bad people either. Think about that.
