MUCH much funnier---especially the "inside jokes"....Like the name of the school, the use of 70's actors in supporting roles (huggy bear and willis!)...LOVE CHRIS!

i prefer everybody hates chris- it's funnier, and although it is compared to malcolm in the middle in most respects, it really reminds me of the wonder years from the 80s and almost all of it is based on chris rock's actual upbringing and experiences in new york when he was a kid. tyler james williams is just excellent as the young chris, but my other favourite characters are his parents rochelle and julius, at times their antics have me in stitches. drew was more laid back and chris's younger sister, tonya was a pain! one of my favourite episodes was when chris had to go to a party or ball, dressed as prince! malcolm in the middle was great during the first few seasons, but as frankie muniz's malcolm and the other two sons, reese and dewey got older, the storylines were less interesting. despite the fact that hal was a good character, as well as lois- malcolm's parents. however, my vote goes to everybody hates chris, as for me, it's more consistently funny in contrast to malcolm in the middle

'Everybody hates Chris' I have seen Malcom in the middle a few times, but I have never really got into it. Is there going to be a second series of 'everybody hates Chris??'

EVERYBODY HATES CHRIS! Malcolm is okay but Chris Rock is hilarious with his narration and the boy who plays Chris is spot-on! The stories are so true-to-life and hysterical!
