The NBA doesn't become exciting until playoff time. These zero-tolerance policies by the referees are killing the game. Players can't enough show emotion without getting a "tech". Only a select few players play for the love of the game.
Remember when the All-Star Games meant something? (1998 and back). The last great Dunk Contest was in 2000 when Vince Carter OWNED!!! Remember good defense? You only see that from the Spurs, Pistons and sometimes the Bulls these days.

I mean I know you liked Jordan and he did revolutionize the game. But I mean there is a lot more talent now and there are a few players that are better than Jordan. Take a look at what happened while jordan was in Washington and he could not pull that crap anymore with the talent pool that is here now. I know Jordan was an icon but if you can not enjoy basketball now you are not a basketball fan you are a Jordan fan.

The only basketball I ever watch is the rare times the harlem globe trotters are on T.V. I went to see the Raptors in Toronto live but just could not get into it. Why can't they prolong the football season and shorten the bball season?

I stopped watching and paying attention to the NBA years ago. The way they allow them to get away with so much, its closer to a Globtrotter performance than a basketball game.
I enjoy the women now, WNBA and college. Much more athleticism in my opinion.

While I do love my beloved baseball (which is 162 games in 180 days. Much harder to run around and travel than it is to in basketball), I have to disagree with you wholeheartedly in fact that it's hard for me to actually get bored of one of the 3 major sports. I love them so much, and become bitter during the off-season, since I'm not much of a hey-look-at-that-awesome-trade-happen type of guy. I love it when sports are going on, and hate the off-season. Not much else to it for myself

I am in total agreement with you. The Bulls dynasty has yet to be matched. The game of basketball has become uber boring and typical to say the least. And college basketball- don't even get me started...

Plain and simple. Your losing interest. I don't watch b-ball that much either since Jordan left. I live here too.
