do so, forget abut computer science. Too many hours for that salary, and most jobs will be displaced abroad anyway. Besides there will always be ill people to nurse!

Computer Science majors are still in high demand. It would be a good idea to take several business classes along with the CS classes. A degree in Computer Sciences doesn't help much if you don't understand that computers are a tool & have some understanding of why people want to use them.

There is a high demand for nurses -- but it does not pay as well as software development.

The bottom line is that you have to do this for many years & you should go into a field that you love.

Do what you want. These days, all you need for a decent job is a degree in ANYTHING. So, if you like art, you can get a degree in art, and that degree can be used for many, many careers both in and outside of that field. Plus, if you study something you enjoy, you'll be much more likely to actually finish college and not waste a bunch of time and money.

It depends what career you will choose for computer science. If programmer then too many hours...for your high salary......but I believe that you will not be that good to your job or while you are studying if you don't really like what your doing. It is your choice if you want to sattisffy your parents or follow your dreams.

There are other careers in computing like Information systems consultants who are also highly paid....and appreciated....
