Blame Bush. He is a real busy president causing all problems facing the planet and running the country at the same time. Radical Islam has caused the war and the terror. The rich and poor? Bush made people poor? What is that? And 80% of Americans believe in God so you if you do not are a tiny minority. And President Bush didn't make you not believe in God. You hate the fact that Bush is president so everything he says or does must be evil. You and those like you are just being childish.

The country was divided long before Bush became President. It started in 94 when the Democrats started to lose power. When Bush became President and the Democrats were out of power, they began to lose their minds. Liberals feel they have a right to rule like some dictators believe they are predestined to rule.

If you look at the last two presidential elections and compare the blue states to the red states it is almost an exact replica of the United States between 1861 - 1865.
We are throughly entrenched in a philosophical civil war because the two parties (and their respective primaries) have failed to produce a man/woman of the people who understands and enacts the will and wish of the citizens. Anytime you get some as far right as Bush, or, god help us, should some as far left as Hilary get elected then a division will occur.

Liberals have divided this country not Bush.

When I was growing up almost everyone was conservative. there were Conservative Democrats and Conservative Republicans and while they might not agree on everything they agreed on quite a lot.

Liberals changed all that and started dividing the country because while they claimed to be openminded they didn't even bother to listen to anyone who didn't totally agree with them. And even went so far as to insult anyone who presented a different point of view.

All countries are divided in some way. Either by religion, or money, or power. America is no different today then yesterday. President Bush is just another spoke in the wheel. He didn't do it.

Some of these answers are right. This country has been divided for years before Bush was voted in and the next guy/girl isn't going to do any better pulling it back together......

If we tried to pick the first President that divided the country we would have to go way back. It's been divided in more ways then one since the beginning.......

the division started with the hippies, and has the liberals pushing in the opposite direction every time, no matter what this government does the liberals side with France and Russia. The president is doing his job in spite of the liberal fodder.

I will not answer your question directly, as I do not want to be biased in my opinion. But you can still gather the facts straight by figuring it out by yourself.

Just look at all the other questions posted in Yahoo Answers related to Bush and the Iraq War, and read all the responses given by different people to those questions.

That will give you a very clear indication on what the answer to your question will be. Good Luck....
