I used one for baby #3, but I had to use 2 kits because I started too early the first month. Since most women ovulate midway between cycles, I would start the kit around day 15 since each kit contains enough equip for a few days of testing. If you find that you started too early, get another kit and do it again next month, only starting a day or two later than the first month. It is really trial and error since you don't know exactly when you are ovulating. It only took me 2 months to narrow down my ovulation and I conceived during that month. Good Luck.

In my opinion, charting your fertility signs is a less expensive and more reliable route than OPKs. Sometimes, you can have a surge in the hormone that is detected by OPKs but not actually ovulate at that time (if your body prepared to ovulated, but didn't). If you have long and/or irregular cycles, that is more likely.
Charting your fertility signs (such as cervical fluid and basal body temperature) can tell you a great deal about your cycle, not just when you might be ovulating. It can tell you when you are fertile (women are usually fertile for a few days before ovulation as well as the day of ovulation and the day after), when you are not, when you are ovulating, when to expect your next period, and when to suspect pregancy. Your charts can also tell you if there is an impediment to conception or carrying a pregnancy or if there is a serious problem which needs a doc's attention. Many cycle problems can be solved at home though.
Some good sources: Fertilityfriend.com (free software as well as a pay-for version and on-line charting turorial); ovusoft.com (discussion boards for many fertility related issues, much info on fertility after the pill, and a very good software for purchase). The books Taking Charge of Your Fertility (associated w/ the the ovusoft website and software), The Art of Natural Family Planning, and Garden of Fertility

everyone is diff with there cycle days so 30-34 dyas is normal also.
you know im not sure also since my days are always diff. I think the best way is to try several things like do the ovulation kit and also do the temp. one....so you can find out when you do ovulate. U can also just start having sex every other day starting now ...lol
good luck and if you find out an easier way let me know also.

sounds such as you're having intercourse at precisely the main suitable time. i replaced into using a regularly occurring kind ovulation kit, and it replaced into helpful for 3 or 4 days besides, which replaced into confusing. So I switched to a ClearBlue digital ovulation try. It shows an empty circle whilst you're no longer ovulating, and a happyface whilst you're :) It replaced into much less confusing. For the 2d portion of your question, i do no longer understand if it fairly is considerable to have intercourse universal. My hubby and that i attempted to through fact we figured, the extra possibilities the extra effectual! some human beings say another day nonetheless. reliable good fortune. :D

I have never heard of anyones cycle being that many days. a normal cycle usually shows up between 21 and 28 days. I think you might want to find another doctor.
