I heard it was because her hair was so damaged from all of the dyeing,bleaching,styling, extensions,
etc that she did to it.
But i like to think it was more to make a statement, like with Sinead O'Connor. A shaved head on a woman is very liberating, it's kind of "I am woman, hear me roar!" :p. Maybe she's trying to finally completely break away from the whole pretty, ditzy mold that she was cast into by her handlers (remember Christina Aguilera's buttless chaps ;p ?) and wants to be taken more seriously.
Or she wanted to get Kevin out of her hair :p
Or she's going Buddhist, joining a cult, joining the Military (GI Jane), became a Skinhead, wanted to go low maintance, was acting out on bottled emotions (sort of like a cutter does), wanted to stand out from all of the other Pop Princesses out there, wanted to rebel against the unrealistic standards society has on women and the whole "fascism of beauty", or did it for a movie role (like Demi Moore, Natalie Portman, Sigourney Weaver, etc.)
But if i ever did it, it would definitely be to make a statement to challenge Society's view of beauty and women in general

The theory I heard is that with the divorce going on with the custody of her kids in question, she did not want any traces of her drug use (hence the rehab). Drug use can be tracked through hair follicles. She also got a tattoo of a pair of lips on her wrist. She might be hiding something there also.

This has been said about a million times now, But she is friggin nuts she's in rehab now thats probably part of it. Britney just doesn't know how to puff puff pass, selfish *****.

i heard a report on tv last night that she had a fight with kevin. that he was going to try and prove she was on drugs and that is why she done it. i think she needs time away from the limelight. she is extremely close to losing her children by continuing to do foolish things. she needs to make her children her main priority.
