There was a period in my life when I was working hard but was not making much money at all: I had just enough to cover the bills--and then would have $1.75 left over at the end of the month, so I couldn't even rent a movie for entertainment.

What I did with the time I wasn't working was I phoned friends (land line = cheaper than cell); went to the library to check out books rather than buying books; ate at home and learned to feed myself on $20 a week; walked a lot; made plans for how to better my situation and kept reminding myself that this period would pass and things would get better if I kept working toward my goals--and I did improve my situation considerably over time.

So, if I did not have any money, I'd do the same: get a job and try to better my situation while making the best of a tough period.

As long as I have food and shelter, I don't care. The rate of the world economy is declining so fast anyway that most people will be dead broke in the next 25 years anyway. Outsourcing and astronomical healthcare costs are a drain on the economy. We can sugarcoat everything with the talk of interest rates and claim inflation isn't a problem but it is and will continue to be for generations.

I suppose I would starve, because if I did not have any money to work would be too hard, and to steal would not be nice. And never, never would I go begging.

nothing,keep working till i have it again. Live with what I have
it's not what makes me happy or sad. Many times, hundred few times i have lived it and made it through.
I don't beg either, and never will.
I helped and helped in the past, and now I know what it means to me.
